Although this successful Nike Pegasus offshoot has been around for just a few years, this edition makes it even closer to “the only outdoor shoes you´ll ever need” territory.

As expected, Nike React continues to do an outlandish job in the Pegasus Trail 3’s midsole, offering a level of cushioning and responsiveness that almost no competitors can achieve. Outstanding tread dynamics are supplemented by the rubber outsole’s phenomenal traction and durability, whose improved thickness and lug pattern - based on mountain bike tires - adhere to even the most uneven surfaces.

The Pegasus Trail 3’s upper delivers stability and support in spades. A dynamic midfoot band works side-by-side with the lace closure to bring an exceptionally snug fit. Breathability is enhanced by a more open and perforated mesh; thanks to these changes, the slightly thicker tongue sports much better airflow than in previous editions. A heel pull tab eases putting the Pegasus Trail 3 on or off.

I have been running in these sneakers along with the Nike Run Club program on my phone for more than a year, both in winter and summer, in any weather in the mornings, 3 km a day. Bliss. To date, it has already run 930 km in them. I run along the sandy seashore dotted with shells and small branches, on paving slabs, on asphalt. I wash my favorite Nike Pegasus Trail 3 sneakers in the washing machine as needed. Yes, there are already signs of wear on the sole, but they are minor. Thank you Nike for such high quality shoes!
