Rapha Thermal long sleeve base layer

RAPHA Thermal Long Sleeve Base Layer

A low-profile thermal foundation engineered for cold weather training.

Master your winter miles with the Rapha Thermal Long Sleeve Base Layer, the essential first layer for any cyclist serious about performance and comfort in cold conditions. Designed as a foundational piece, this men´s thermal base layer works as your personal microclimate regulator, ensuring you stay warm, dry, and focused when the temperature drops. It is the ultimate synthesis of insulation and breathability, built for the demands of high-tempo efforts and long, steady endurance rides alike.

The core of this garment´s exceptional performance lies in its advanced fabric technology. High-wicking Polartec® fleece provides exceptional core temperature regulation and rapid drying times, finished with a classic crew neck for streamlined layering. This intelligent synthetic material actively pulls moisture away from your skin, dispersing it across the surface to evaporate quickly. This process is critical in preventing the chilling effect of sweat during pauses, descents, or after your ride, keeping you consistently comfortable. The thermal properties of the fleece trap a layer of warm air next to your body, providing vital insulation without the bulk of traditional thermal wear.

Engineered with an ergonomic, men´s-specific cut, this base layer offers a next-to-skin fit that feels like a second skin. The inherent stretch of the fabric ensures complete freedom of movement, allowing the garment to move with you through every pedal stroke without bunching or restricting your motion. This T-shirts style base layer features flatlock seams positioned away from high-friction areas to eliminate chafing and irritation, even on the longest days in the saddle.

Its minimalist design is a masterclass in functional simplicity. The classic round neck sits comfortably under any jersey or jacket collar, while the long sleeve design provides full-arm coverage for maximum warmth. The deliberate choice to create this piece without a zipper enhances its role as a seamless, unobtrusive foundation, eliminating any potential pressure points or bulk when layering. Every detail is considered to create a garment that is both highly technical and incredibly comfortable, allowing you to focus purely on your performance. Whether you´re tackling a frosty morning commute, a crisp autumn gran fondo, or a dedicated block of winter training, the Rapha Thermal Long Sleeve Base Layer is your first and best defense against the cold.
