Bought to hike the Camino to Santiago with a backpack. Practiced with the jacket. It protects me and my bag well. Nice and light and comfortable. Very easy to pack down. Waterproof and fits my 188 cm height perfectly. I recommend this poncho to anyone who wants to be well-protected while hiking. Because of its small pack size, it's also easy to store after use.

I'm glad I took on board details of other reviewers regarding size. At 5' 1" tall I couldn't have managed anything but the small size. That being said I'm happy with the small size and all of its features. Plenty of volume to cover my backpack. The press studs were a little hard to open at first but I imagine that will ease with use. All in all I'm really happy with the purchase.

I am 1.77 meters tall and weigh 80 kg. The size ML is perfect for me. There is a possibility of enlarging by opening a snap button on this poncho to be able to carry a bulky backpack. Good tightening at the wrist, practical pocket for storing it, full opening from the front, waterproof and breathable technical material, Altus has succeeded in the design for a very reasonable price.

I have a large collection of poncho`s and Jacket/Poncho`s. I purchased the Altus poncho to compare it with other ponchos in my collection as it is mainly sold as a Camino poncho. As I am over six feet tall I ordered the XL size which weighs in at 399 grams/14 ounces and is plenty big for me and a 55 litre pack. I found the zip to be a little flimsy but works okay, but would prefer a two way zip. Also there isn`t enough ventilation for me, but you have to balance what you want less weight again more features. For example the Decathlon MT900 has the double ended front zip, huge under arm pit zips, stiffened hood peak and two front openings for tying in the front of the poncho in windy conditions and is made in different sizes. The only problem with this poncho is it weighs in at a big 528 grams/18.6 ounces. I like the Altus, its a good compromise and TrekInn have it at a good price.

We haven't used it yet. I purchased this for my 6 ft tall boyfriend for our trip next fall. He is 175 and it is plenty long in back with a 24 liter daypack. The full length zipper and brim on hood will be very convenient. We will be doing luggage transfer so water is our heaviest item. I did the Camino last October and while my poncho was ok, this is much better. I was looking for long on the back side!!!!!

They are very light and good quality ponchos. I used them in torrential rain with a 33L backpack and not a drop of water got in. The size is perfect, I am 1.76m tall and weigh 80kg and the size M fits me excellently
