BEAL Be Lock 3 Matic Carabiner: Ultimate Security and Smoothness for Your Belay

Experience unparalleled safety and fluid rope handling with the BEAL Be Lock 3 Matic, a premium large HMS carabiner engineered for the modern climber and ropework professional. Designed as a cornerstone of your safety system, this belay carabiner combines an advanced locking mechanism with a versatile, high-performance shape, ensuring you can focus on the climb with complete confidence. It stands as an essential piece of climbing equipment for anyone serious about security and efficiency.

Uncompromised Safety with the 3 MATIC Triple-Action Gate

At the heart of the Be Lock 3 Matic is its innovative triple-action locking gate. This sophisticated system requires three distinct and deliberate actions—slide, twist, and pull—to open, virtually eliminating the risk of accidental gate opening from rope vibration or rubbing against the rock. This level of security provides critical peace of mind, whether you´re belaying a leader on a tough crux, setting up a top-rope anchor, or rappelling multiple pitches. The 3 MATIC system is intuitive for the user but exceptionally secure against unintentional opening, setting a new standard for belay carabiners.

Superior Rope Handling and Versatility

The Be Lock 3 Matic features a classic large HMS (pear-shaped) design, making it exceptionally versatile for a wide range of climbing applications. Its primary function as a belay carabiner is enhanced by its generous size, which comfortably accommodates various belay devices and allows for easy use of friction hitches. It is particularly suited to complex ropework involving double or twin ropes, excelling with knots such as the clove hitch for anchoring and the Italian (Munter) hitch for emergency belaying or rappelling.

The expansive and rounded contact surface area is a key feature, engineered to allow ropes to run smoothly with minimal friction. This design not only facilitates easier rope pay-out and retrieval but also helps to reduce wear and tear on your rope´s sheath. This smooth performance is maintained even when working with wet or icy ropes, making the Be Lock 3 Matic a reliable choice for mountaineering and all-weather climbing.

Snag-Free Operation with the Keylock System

Frustrating snags are a thing of the past thanks to the integrated Keylock system. The nose of the carabiner and the gate interface are designed without a traditional notch, creating a clean, smooth surface. This brilliant design prevents the carabiner from catching on your harness belay loop, rope, slings, or anchor material during critical moments of clipping and unclipping. The snag-free operation ensures seamless transitions and allows you to manage your gear with speed and efficiency.

Engineered specifically for belaying, the BEAL Be Lock 3 Matic is the ideal choice for sport climbing, traditional climbing, multi-pitch routes, and gym climbing.
