BLUE ICE Alpine Runner Sling

Category: Climbing equipment
Subcategory: Ropes and webbing

Discover the revolutionary BLUE ICE Alpine Runner, a cutting-edge sling engineered to redefine speed, efficiency, and safety for your alpine, ice, and rock climbing adventures. Designed for the modern minimalist who demands maximum performance with minimum weight, the Alpine Runner is an indispensable tool for fast-and-light ascents and complex mountain terrain. Its innovative design and superior performance make it a must-have upgrade from traditional sewn slings.

The standout benefit of the Alpine Runner is its exceptional versatility combined with an ultralight, streamlined profile. Its primary function as an extendable quickdraw, or alpine draw, is where it truly excels. On wandering routes or over roofs, extending your protection is crucial to minimize rope drag, and the Alpine Runner makes this process faster and more intuitive than ever before. Its unique construction allows for effortless one-handed operation, saving you precious time and energy on the sharp end.

This is more than just an extendable draw. These abrasion and UV resistant alpine runners ideal for use as extendable quick draw and anchor slings. Available in 4 lengths, each color-coded for instant identification on your harness, you can quickly grab the exact length you need for building bomber anchors, slinging rock horns, or securing yourself at a belay. Its single strand design greatly improves its carryability and ease of use in comparison to a close loop sling, eliminating the frustrating bunching and tangling common with traditional webbing. It racks neatly on your harness, taking up significantly less space and reducing clutter.

A key performance feature is its hydrophobic nature. The materials used in its construction barely absorb any water, making the Alpine Runner a superior choice for ice climbing, mountaineering, and any adventure where conditions might get wet. A water-logged sling becomes heavy and can freeze, but the Alpine Runner maintains its feather-light weight and suppleness, ensuring reliable performance when you need it most.

Main Features:

* Innovative single-strand design for superior handling and reduced bulk.
* Exceptionally lightweight construction helps minimize overall rack weight.
* Optimized for use as an extendable alpine draw to reduce rope drag.
* Highly resistant to abrasion and UV degradation for enhanced durability.
* Hydrophobic properties prevent water absorption, ideal for alpine and ice climbing.
* Color-coded by length for quick and easy identification on your harness.
* Versatile for a wide range of applications, including anchor building and threading natural protection.

Laurent

Great for alpine draw that will never fail when extending it. Just requires a bit of practice. I find this length ideal for alpine draw. Just a bit longer than the grey sling.

Excellent option

Laurent

Very practical to clip around your check/shoulder with a non locking binder. Useful to extend a piece or quickly setup an anchor. But cannot do the same job as a sling. It's a good complement.

Excellent. I'll try it very soon.
