Grivel Ghost Hammer Ice Axe

Discover the ultimate companion for your alpine ambitions with the GRIVEL Ghost Hammer Ice Axe, a masterpiece of minimalist design and uncompromising performance. Engineered for the discerning ski tourer and light mountaineer, this ice axe redefines what´s possible when every gram counts. As the lightest axe in the entire Grivel collection, the Ghost Hammer allows you to move faster, ascend higher, and conserve precious energy on demanding routes and long glacier crossings.

This is a light and minimal ice axe for ski touring and light mountaineering, presented here in its versatile hammer version. At the core of its incredible strength-to-weight ratio is the revolutionary G-Bone shaft. This exclusive Grivel technology, characterized by its special shape with side grooves, delivers significantly higher resistance and rigidity with a lower thickness. This innovative design not only sheds weight but also guarantees a superior, ergonomic grip along the entire length of the shaft. Whether you´re plunging it into firm snow or carrying it in hand, the G-Bone shaft provides unmatched comfort and confidence.

The Ghost Hammer is meticulously crafted for efficiency. The shaft is precisely cut at the end, a deliberate design choice to further reduce weight without sacrificing essential functionality. This makes it the premier choice for ski mountaineering, where it remains almost unnoticeable on your pack during the ascent and skinning phases. The head of the axe is equally well-considered; its ergonomic blade is shaped for optimal comfort when held in the classic piolet-canne (walking stick) position, reducing hand fatigue during extended glacier travel. The integrated hammer offers crucial utility for placing pickets, tapping in tent stakes, or managing gear in technical terrain, adding a layer of versatility that proves invaluable in the mountains.

Available in 45 and 50 cm lengths to suit your specific needs and body size, the GRIVEL Ghost Hammer is your ticket to a lighter pack and a more agile mountain experience.
