Product description of Kong Italy Panic Conector quickdraw

Description summary

Conquer distant anchors with the KONG ITALY Panic Connector Quickdraw. This revolutionary tool features a semi-rigid stem for precise redirection and an ingenious self-opening/closing gate mechanism. It safely catches far-off bolt hangers, eliminating the need for fiddly one-handed clipping and preventing accidental gate opening under load. Italian-engineered and meticulously tested, the Panic is your ultimate problem-solver for challenging sport climbs and mountaineering. Climb with unmatched confidence

KONG ITALY Panic Connector Quickdraw

Master your ascent and conquer the crux with the revolutionary KONG ITALY Panic Connector. Designed for climbers and mountaineers who refuse to let a distant anchor point dictate their progress, this essential piece of climbing equipment transforms challenging situations into confident clips. The Panic system is your ultimate tool for safely and easily catching the most distant anchoring points, providing the crucial reach needed on demanding sport climbing routes or during complex mountaineering passages. It is the definitive factory-produced version of a classic and indispensable tool for any serious climber.

The genius of the Panic lies in its two-part synergistic design. It is fitted with a specialized tubular webbing that houses an inner flexible bar. This unique construction provides the perfect balance of rigidity and maneuverability, allowing you to create the ideal curve and precisely direct the connector towards its target. This semi-rigid stem eliminates the frustrating floppy nature of a standard quickdraw, giving you pinpoint accuracy when you need it most.

At the heart of the system is a special connector equipped with an ingenious mechanism that redefines clipping safety and efficiency. This system cleverly holds the gate wide open as you extend it, eliminating the need for fiddly one-handed gate manipulation. The moment the connector comes into contact with the bolt hanger or fix plate, the mechanism instantly releases the gate, causing it to snap shut automatically and securely. This seamless action not only saves precious energy but also significantly enhances safety. Furthermore, the intelligent design prevents any accidental opening of the lever when the connector is under load, giving you unparalleled peace of mind during and after the clip.

Born from the demands of high-level climbing, the KONG Panic is the ultimate problem-solver for clipping bolts that seem just out of reach or for navigating difficult passages where stopping to hang a traditional draw is not an option. Representing the pinnacle of Italian engineering and craftsmanship, every single Panic connector is a high-quality product completely produced in Italy. To guarantee uncompromising safety and reliability, each unit is meticulously tested piece by piece before it leaves the factory, ensuring it meets the most rigorous standards of performance. Climb with more confidence, push your limits, and never let a distant bolt stop you again.

What our customers are saying about Kong Italy Panic Conector quickdraw

This climbing gear is a lifesaver for clipping out-of-reach bolts and anchors. Its rigid, stiff design makes it easy to extend your reach, which is especially useful for shorter climbers or on difficult routes. The quick-locking carabiner and self-firing gate mechanism work wonderfully, providing extra safety and confidence. It´s an excellent panic clip for those tough moments, preventing unnecessary whippers and making it a valuable piece of equipment for any climber´s rack

Works well

Drew

I use this in an unconventional way, as a safety 'rest-line' on fixed-vertical-ladder climbs at work (with a quick-lock HMS biner on to my harness - we don't have man-safe wire rope systems on the external ladders). I suppose I could use a standard quickdraw, but this feels safer, due to the 'locking' part.

Great

Great for those plates that are difficult to reach because the drop is very exposed, its block system works wonderfully at the touch

Great product

This is a real "lifesaver" for going through routes with lower insurance, when you can not reach the anchor.

No More Panic

Alan

Super useful when onsighting a route and that bolt is just out of reach from where you'd want to clip from. No longer an issue! :)

Very good product

The truth is excellent, rigid enough, and is very useful in some difficult movement or if you get the panic.

Panic review

2017/03/13

Mike

Regarding the Panic---Don´t!! Don´t panic again if you think you are just out of reach to clip a ´draw. This thing is excellent. It´s stiff enough to remain integral to reach and the quick locking mechanism to shut the gate is spot on. Once it´s clipped into a ´draw, you can either leave the rope in it, or put a shorter ´draw on the hanger and remove the Panic to use again higher up if needed. Great concept.
