Benefit from body-hugging design The Montane Trailblazer® LT 28L Backpack builds on the innovative COVALENT harness system, with its customisable body-hugging design and accessible pocket configuration used in our market leading Trailblazer packs. The difference here is the construction and fabrication have been completely remastered to weigh an impressively low 300g. Fully taped seams ensure the Trailblazer backpack also provides waterproof protection against changeable conditions. This ultra-light, technical pack has been built especially for active adventures where low weight and speed are paramount.

- RAPTOR Fly Lite 40 denier siliconised nylon ripstop fabric with a TPU coating

Minimal seams with seamless design in the pack body:
- Folded bonded seams minimise stitched seams increasing durability and watertight construction

Fully taped waterproof construction:
- Full seam taping, minimal stitched seams and siliconised nylon fabric create a waterproof construction

Waist harness:
- Customisable, body-hugging COVALENT harness, with two harness pockets with security zips

External Storage bungee:
- Integrated bungee for external storage or compression, for quick access and extra storage

Hydration bladder compatibility:
- Hydration bladder pocket is external to the main watertight compartment. Features velcro hang loop and elastic tube tidies on the chest straps

The backpack is extremely lightweight and comfortable to carry with lighter loads. The material appears sufficiently robust and well-made. The closures are sturdy but very delicate and somewhat fiddly overall, especially the chest strap and roll-top closure. The diagonally tensioned external drawstring on the back is a critical flaw: there's no clear securing point at the bottom, so even larger items like a jacket can slip down. The full-length pockets on the hip belt sit quite far to the sides on my body, requiring me to twist my body to access them. Furthermore, trekking poles and snacks stored there often get in each other's way. Overall, it's a good, very lightweight backpack, but with clear design flaws.
