Osprey’s Farpoint 80 is the right size for a long trip when you need one pack to transport everything from the airport to the back of beyond.

Go ahead and fill it up. The LightWire™ frame suspension transfers the load from harness to hipbelt. A mesh backpanel improves ventilation and the mesh on the harness and hipbelt reduces chafing under load. The entire suspension stows away under a zippered panel creating a sleek silhouette for transport.

Unzip the lockable sliders to access the main compartment. Inside there’s a mesh pocket for small items. A compartment with floating divider allows separate storage options and dual compression straps keep cargo from shifting during transit.

Outside the pack, you’ll find a zippered front panel slash pocket to keep you organized and sewn attachment points to add extra gear. No matter how much you choose to carry, StraightJacket™ compression straps stabilize the load.

There are also loops to anchor an optional Osprey Daylite daypack if you would like the convenience of a small satellite pack for short forays.

Osprey packs are great and the Farpoint 80 is no exception. I would point out that the size is closer to 70L competing packs, but otherwise is very comfortable and durable. Mostly I wanted to relate my good experience with Trekk inn. I did not realize this was an European distributor until after I ordered. Shipping was amazingly fast - ordered on Wednesday and the pack was delivered to upstate NY on Monday. Based on this experience, i would order again from them.

I used for traveling by train and plan. It served well. It is light and still stiff. The bottom part (shoe compartment) are maybe useful for some, for me it was a bit disturbing. (it is not as smooth and simple as the picture suggest) The almost full zipp is really good and gives U full access to your stuffs. The back panel is very good even with huge weights (+30kg) the full zipp cover for the two straps is very handy

Great product. Seems well made and of sturdy material. The shoulder straps of the backpack can be closed with a special flap, transforming it into a duffle bag. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a shoulder strap. When used as a bag, in fact, it can only be carried using the two handles, but there is no possibility of putting it over the shoulder.
