Description summary

Inspired by the Dolomites, the SALEWA Puez Catinaccio 2 is your essential women´s jacket for alpine trekking in harsh conditions. This lightweight, water-repellent layer features innovative TirolWool® Responsive insulation. It blends natural wool with thermoregulating minerals that reflect your body´s heat, keeping you warmer for longer and boosting performance. A full windproof flap, high collar, and adjustable hem seal out the cold, while multiple zip pockets keep essentials secure. Your ideal warm, protective midlayer or outer jacket

A men’s lightweight, warm, and water-repellent insulated jacket/midlayer for alpine trekking and cold-weather mountain use. The Catinaccio combines natural wool with Responsive synthetic insulation and takes its name from the Italian name for the Rosengarten Massif. TirolWool® insulation is sourced from Tyrolean sheep and has a high lanolin content that helps it remain warm when wet, while our thermoregulating Responsive technology stores and releases energy back to the body over time. We give the ultralight nylon ripstop outer shell a PFAS-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The mountain-focused spec here includes a full internal windproof flap to seal out drafts and a storm collar that closes right up to the chin for full protection.

Great product, light but warm. I took the XXL for me who am 1.84 cm tall and weigh 90 kg, also considering that I could use a light fleece as an intermediate between the thermal and the down jacket. Adjustments on the waistline that do their job.

This jacket was just what I was looking for. Light and packable but beautifully soft and warm. Quality level is very high. It is the Australian summer so I haven’t tested it in harsh environments yet but it looks as though it will suit paragliding purposes quite well.

Excellent quality product with great abrasion properties, wool based insulation. XXL for 117 cm chest, sleeves feel short, nevertheless allow free movement and extra layers. Happy to recommend.
