Had a few pairs of these now, always get one size bigger with Salomon than usual shoe size. I used to have contant arthritic type pain in my right foot, which has disappeared, largely I think because I wear Salomon shoes most of the time. I wear these black XA Pro for work and bought these to replace my old ones after 2 years wear. I don;t even bother looking at other manufacturers anymore - I just stick to what works for me in terms of comfort and durability. Quicklaces are a must for me too.

Another long-standing user of these trailrunners here - like every year, Salomon tweaked the design again, this time with no effect on my wear comfort/fit. We shall see if the old weaknesses where these shoes break/fail (sole detaches at the front, or surface breaks where the front of the foot bends- the lacing attachment has been moved, so this will be different I hope!) are gone in the longer term, but initial impressions are very good this year!

I have been using this Salomon model for years and when I have to change them or buy others, I will buy the same model, very comfortable and without surprises. The most difficult thing is choosing the color (this black one looks like they are made of carbon fiber) and whether you want them with or without Goretex. In this case I kept the Goretex ones because I use them for work, and many times the grass is wet and that way I don't get my feet wet.
