Subcategory: Wall equipment

Master the art of precise footwork and build a solid foundation for your climbing journey with the YY VERTICAL First Footholds. Expertly engineered for climbers who are new to the sport or those looking to refine their technique, these holds are the ultimate tool for developing confidence, strength, and precision from the ground up. They provide a stable and encouraging platform that transforms any training wall into a dedicated footwork dojo, allowing you to focus on movement, balance, and body tension without the intimidation of small, aggressive holds. An essential addition to any training board or synthetic wall setup, these wooden footholds provide a natural and effective training experience.

The First Footholds by YY Vertical are designed for climbers beginning footwork training or seeking more generous support during practice.

Made from high-quality wood, they offer a smooth, shoe-friendly surface that enables progressive use without wear.

Their wider, more stable design allows for easy and secure foot placement, making them ideal for beginners, warm-ups, or technical drills without added strain.

Compatible with standard screw-on systems, they are easy to mount on any training wall.

A perfect choice for building solid technique from your first steps in climbing.

Beyond the basics, the First Footholds serve as an indispensable tool for advanced climbers during warm-up routines or targeted physiotherapy exercises. The generous surface area helps to gently activate the muscles and tendons in the feet and lower legs, preparing them for the demands of a strenuous session. The non-abrasive wooden texture is intentionally designed to be kind to your expensive climbing shoes, preventing the premature wear and tear often caused by aggressive plastic holds. This means you can drill your foot swaps, pivots, and silent feet exercises endlessly without worrying about damaging your gear. Perfectly integrated into modern training setups, these holds excel on system boards and synthetic home walls, offering a superior alternative to standard plastic holds for specific footwork exercises. Elevate your climbing from the ground up and invest in the tool that builds better, more intuitive climbers.
