I don´t know anything about canyoning, and although with this boot, both foot and ankle are well protected, perhaps you would need another type of boot that fits your foot better, with lace-type ties or tensioners. Hola, yo las uso para hacer pesca a spinning en playa (arena y rocas) por lo que el agarre es el adecuado, en seco y metido en el agua. Son muy cómodas. Desconozco el barranquismo, y aunque con esta bota, tanto pie como tobillo van bien protegidos, quizás necesitarías otro tipo de bota que se ajuste más al pie, con amarres tipo cordón o tensores. De quedarte pequeñas, pocas soluciones hay. Si piensas usar un calcetín de neopreno, yo elegiría al menos un número más. En el peor de los casos pasarás con un calcetin térmico téxtil. Con la edad los pies tambien se ensanchan e incluso crecen un poco. Saludos
