Black Diamond First Light Stretch jacket

Black Diamond First Light Stretch Hoody - Men´s Insulated Jacket

The perfect layer for backcountry rock walls, big alpine faces, and frigid weekend ski tours, the Black Diamond First Light Stretch Hoody is the ultimate in dynamic four-season insulation that breathes efficiently and stretches with your every movement. Redesigned and entirely overhauled for 2023, this jacket sets a new standard for versatile, high-performance outerwear that adapts to any objective and condition.

At its core, the First Light Stretch Hoody is engineered for active use. It is packed with migration-resistant Primaloft Gold Active insulation, a revolutionary material that provides essential thermal warmth while maintaining exceptional breathability. This advanced synthetic insulation allows excess heat and moisture to escape, ensuring you stay comfortable and dry during even the most intense high-output pursuits. Say goodbye to the constant cycle of adding and removing layers; this hoody is designed to be worn from start to finish, providing consistent thermal regulation when you need it most.

Constructed with a durable 20D nylon ripstop face fabric and a stretch liner, this jacket is built to withstand the rigors of the mountain environment. It resists weather and encourages a full, unrestricted range of motion, moving with you as you reach for the next hold or plant a ski pole. The robust exterior remains incredibly durable through rugged talus, brushy approaches, and the demands of daily use, making it a reliable companion for season after season of adventure.

Functionality is paramount in the mountains, and this jacket delivers on all fronts. Additional features include an adjustable, climbing-helmet-compatible hood, offering seamless protection without compromising visibility or safety. A low-profile, single-adjust hem allows you to seal out drafts and customize the fit with one hand. When conditions improve and you need to shed a layer, the hoody features a highly packable and compressible design that stuffs into its own internal stretch mesh pocket. This pocket includes an integrated carabiner clip loop, so all your needs are covered and you can easily clip it onto your harness or pack. With its new, refined fit and enhanced design, the Black Diamond First Light Stretch Hoody is your go-to piece for any mountain mission.
