BLUE ICE Tech Pommel Grip

Unlock the full potential of your handle-less ice axe with the BLUE ICE Tech Pommel Grip, an essential spare part designed to elevate your performance, confidence, and comfort on any mountain objective. Whether you´re navigating steep ice, traversing technical mixed terrain, or undertaking a long glacier crossing, this innovative support wedge provides the crucial grip and versatility you need. It is the perfect upgrade for mountaineers and ice climbers seeking to enhance the functionality of their minimalist tools without adding significant weight.

Unmatched Versatility and Adaptable Support

The TECH POMMEL is a support wedge specially designed to optimize the grip of ice axes without handles. Easily positioned, it can be attached at the base of the shaft, on the rivet, to improve grip in technical use, or on the upper part to guarantee a comfortable grip in walking mode, without impeding movement. This dual-functionality transforms your standard ice axe into a highly adaptable tool ready for changing conditions. The clever design ensures that whether you are in a piolet-canne (walking) or piolet-traction (climbing) position, you have a secure and ergonomic point of contact.

Key Benefits of the Tech Pommel:

* Enhanced Technical Performance: When mounted at the base of the shaft, the pommel acts as a highly effective hand stop. It dramatically improves your grip security for swinging, pulling, and plunging on steep sections, reducing hand fatigue and preventing your hand from slipping off the shaft.
* Superior Walking Comfort: Repositioned to the upper part of the shaft, the Tech Pommel creates a comfortable and ergonomic handrest. This is ideal for long approaches and descents, allowing for a relaxed grip while maintaining control during glacier travel or general mountaineering.
* Ultralight Functionality: Weighing only 10 grams, this pommel adds incredible functionality with a negligible weight penalty. It´s an indispensable addition for alpinists and climbers who count every gram but refuse to compromise on safety and performance.

Main Features:

* Dual-Position Mounting: Offers two distinct mounting locations on the ice axe shaft for optimized performance in both technical climbing and walking modes.
* Secure Clamping System: The Tech Pommel clamps firmly onto the shaft, utilizing the ice axe´s rivet for a simple, robust, and completely reliable attachment that won´t shift or fail under load.
* Ergonomic Design: Shaped to fit comfortably in your gloved or bare hand, providing a stable platform that enhances control and reduces strain during prolonged use.
* Durable and Minimalist: Constructed from high-quality, resilient materials, it is built to withstand the harshest alpine environments while maintaining a sleek, low-profile design.
