You simply cannot go wrong with merino wool, a great choice for winter. It really is a heavyweight, 2L tubular merino wool piece. 100% Merino wool, not some blend with nylon or cotton. Very comfortable against the skin and it doesn't fights you, it stays on. Provides tons of warmth and a decent protection against a light breeze, obviously not windproof.
