Climbing Technology OBX TG snap hook

Discover the ultimate in security and versatility with the CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY OBX TG Snap Hook, a high-performance carabiner engineered for the most demanding vertical environments. Meticulously designed for climbers, mountaineers, and rigging specialists who refuse to compromise on safety or efficiency, the OBX TG sets a new standard for locking carabiners.

This is a hot-forged light alloy oval triplex carabiner.

The symmetrical oval shape is the cornerstone of its design, providing perfect load distribution and making it the professional´s choice for a multitude of applications. Ideal for racking gear and for rigging in mountaineering and aid climbing rope manoeuvrers, its design ensures that pulleys, ascenders, descenders, and other devices are always optimally positioned, centering the load to maximize efficiency and safety. Whether you are building a complex anchor, setting up a hauling system, or simply organizing your rack, the OBX TG’s classic shape ensures clean, balanced, and predictable performance every time.

At the heart of this carabiner is its Triplex (TG) locking gate, a triple-action system that offers superior security against accidental opening. Requiring three distinct actions to open—slide, twist, and pull—this gate provides maximum peace of mind during intricate rope work and in situations where vibrations or rope-rub could compromise a simpler locking mechanism. It is the definitive choice for critical connections where absolute security is paramount.

Main features:

* The perfectly symmetrical oval shape for optimal positioning of devices and ropes ensures that forces are distributed evenly, making it an indispensable tool for use with pulleys and for constructing reliable, balanced anchor systems.
* An exceptional ergonomic shape which enables a good opening of the lever and improves handling, even when wearing gloves. The carabiner feels balanced and secure in hand, allowing for quick, confident, and fluid clipping and unclipping.
* Built for longevity, it features reinforced contact areas for better rope sliding and resistance to wear and tear. These specially designed surfaces minimize friction on your rope, reducing wear on your gear and making hauling and belaying smoother, while simultaneously extending the operational life of the carabiner itself.
* The line between the nose and the internal part of the connector is smooth and facilitates insertion and/or disconnection from anchors, tools and ropes. This refined profile ensures seamless interaction with all elements of your climbing system.
* A true catch-free closure, also known as a keylock system, eliminates the frustration of snagging. The nose of the carabiner is designed without a hook, allowing it to slide cleanly past gear loops, ropes, and webbing slings without getting caught, saving you precious time and effort on the wall.

Engineered with precision and forged for strength without the weight penalty, the CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY OBX TG is more than just a piece of hardware; it is an essential tool for technical climbing and rescue scenarios. Its robust construction, advanced safety features, and user-centric design make it a reliable partner for any vertical adventure. Elevate your rigging with the unmatched security and flawless functionality of the OBX TG snap hook
