I live in black micro fleece half zips most of the winter at work. Columbia medium fits like a comfortable shirt - I usually wear one long sleeve T and another short sleeve T one on top of that under the half zip fleece. Fits perfectly with plenty of room to move around (this Columbia fleece is stretch fleece also) but not so much that it looks like you're wearing a coat indoors.
