Made for demanding alpine challenges: The Expedition 36 is impressive as a lightweight, minimalist and technical unisex ski touring backpack with intelligent features. Change of clothing, shovel, probe, ice axe, helmet – you must carry a bit of gear on a demanding ski tour. And it must all be stowed so as to not limit your movement and so you have immediate access to what you need. On climbing sections or if scraping against rocks, the pack must also be tough and stable so your gear is always safe and protected. The Expedition 36 backpack offers everything you desire for your tours on alpine terrain or on expedition. It opens up the freedom for you to go your own way. Despite comprehensive features, it weighs in very light so you can always be out and about efficiently and quickly. The PFC-free outer material is water-resistant and durable so that your pack is always well protected. The large main compartment with a separate area for safety gear offers all kinds of room and is accessible both from the roll-top closure and via a side zipper. A bottom compartment serves to carry crampons and ski crampons. Despite its minimalist design, the pack still boasts two additional compartments to stow equipment: A quickly accessible front pocket that is perfect for a weather protection or insulating jacket, as well as a side zip pocket for a water bottle or your ski skins. The Expedition 36 features a modular equipment attachment system for your skis and two ice axes so you can secure them for carry as needed. For carrying heavier loads, the back system is reinforced with an anatomically shaped back plate that can be removed when unneeded, allowing you to save extra weight.
