Grivel Alpha K1S snap hook

GRIVEL Alpha K1S Carabiner: The Ultimate All-Rounder for Your Rack

Discover the perfect balance of strength, weight, and performance with the GRIVEL Alpha K1S snap hook, your new go-to carabiner for every climbing adventure. Engineered as a straight-gate forged aluminium carabiner for general use, the Alpha K1S is meticulously designed to be the reliable workhorse on your rack, whether you´re clipping bolts at the sport crag or building anchors in the mountains. This carabiner embodies GRIVEL´s commitment to creating gear that inspires confidence, allowing you to focus purely on the climb.

The Alpha K1S is a forged aluminium carabiner designed for general climbing use, including demanding sport climbing applications. Its superior design begins with the hot-forging process, which allows for a sophisticated, lightweight shape without compromising on exceptional strength. The result is a piece of equipment you can trust implicitly, fall after fall.

One of its most defining characteristics is the straight gate, which supports controlled and precise clipping. The smooth gate action provides reassuring tactile feedback, making it easy to clip the rope, even when you´re pumped and reaching for that crucial next bolt. The balanced geometry of the carabiner is another key innovation, engineered to maintain efficient load distribution along the major axis. This ensures that in the event of a fall, the forces are channeled correctly, maximizing the carabiner´s strength and enhancing your safety margin.

Designed for the modern climber, the Alpha K1S features compact proportions that significantly reduce bulk and weight on your harness. Weighing a mere 48 grams, it helps you shave precious ounces off your rack, reducing fatigue on long multi-pitch routes and alpine ascents. Despite its trim profile, this carabiner is built for durability, ready to withstand the rigors of repeated use, from gritty crags to icy faces. It provides balanced performance across varied climbing use, making it an incredibly versatile choice for climbers who need one carabiner to do it all.
