Grivel Alpine Plume Quickdraw: The Feather-Light Choice for Alpinists

Redefine what´s possible on your alpine, trad, and mountaineering ascents with the Grivel Alpine Plume Quickdraw. Engineered for the minimalist climber who demands maximum performance with minimum weight, this quickdraw is the ultimate solution for shedding critical grams from your rack. When every ounce counts on long routes and high-altitude objectives, the Alpine Plume delivers uncompromising safety and efficiency in a remarkably light package.

Unmatched Lightness for Peak Performance

The core philosophy behind the Alpine Plume is simple: a lighter rack means more energy for the climb. Weighing a mere 69 grams, this quickdraw significantly reduces the burden on your harness, allowing you to move faster, climb longer, and push your limits further. Whether you´re tackling a committing alpine face, a sprawling trad route, or a challenging ice climb, the weight savings offered by a full set of these quickdraws is transformative, leaving you less fatigued and more focused on the moves ahead.

Engineered for the Alpine Environment

This is more than just a light quickdraw; it´s a purpose-built tool for harsh conditions. The design features two of Grivel´s iconic Plume wire-gate carabiners. The wire-gate construction is essential for alpine and winter climbing, as it drastically reduces the risk of freezing shut in icy conditions and is less prone to gate flutter on long pitches. The hot-forged construction of the carabiners allows for a sophisticated design that optimizes strength without adding unnecessary material, while the clean, snag-free nose ensures smooth clipping and unclipping of ropes and gear, even when wearing gloves.

Superior Handling and Versatility

Connecting the two ultralight carabiners is a thin yet incredibly strong and durable Dyneema sling. Dyneema is the premium choice for alpine slings due to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and its hydrophobic properties, meaning it absorbs significantly less water than nylon—a crucial advantage in wet or icy environments. The slim profile makes it easy to handle and reduces bulk on your harness. Available in two lengths, the Alpine Plume offers the versatility needed to manage rope drag effectively on wandering pitches, making it an indispensable part of any serious climber´s equipment.

The Grivel Alpine Plume is the ideal quickdraw for alpinists, trad climbers, and mountaineers who are obsessed with efficiency and performance. Elevate your climbing experience by choosing the gear that helps you climb lighter, faster, and with greater confidence.
