GRIVEL Ghost Evo CE Ice Axe

Lightweight Performance for Classical and Technical Mountaineering

Ascend higher and move faster with the GRIVEL Ghost Evo CE, the quintessential lightweight ice axe for the modern alpinist. Engineered for both classical mountaineering and more challenging technical terrain, the Ghost Evo represents the pinnacle of minimalist design without compromising on performance. It is the ideal tool for climbers, ski mountaineers, and alpinists who demand precision, adaptability, and minimal weight for their ambitious objectives. The Ghost Evo is a lightweight ice axe designed for classical mountaineering with the ability to move into more technical terrain.

At its core, the Ghost Evo features a robust steel head that ensures reliable placement with greater control in more demanding situations. Whether you´re navigating firm névé, moderate ice, or mixed ground, the aggressive pick design provides a confidence-inspiring bite when you need it most. This critical feature allows you to transition seamlessly from low-angle glacier travel to the steeper, more committing sections of your climb.

The innovative G-Bone aluminium shaft delivers exceptional strength and rigidity with a significant reduction in weight, minimizing fatigue on long ascents. This unique grooved construction improves the shaft´s overall structural integrity, allowing for controlled handling and an efficient, powerful swing. The ergonomic design provides a secure grip, even with gloves on, ensuring comfort and security throughout your journey.

The axe´s subtle curved shaping optimises clearance and control in technical terrain. This thoughtful geometry provides a more natural swing arc on steeper slopes and helps keep your knuckles clear of the ice, all while maintaining excellent performance for plunging and self-arrest. At the base, a durable steel spike improves stability during walking and provides a secure point for anchor placements in snow. It plunges confidently, offering reliable support on traverses and descents.

The Ghost Evo is the definition of versatility. Light, precise, and adaptable across varied alpine terrain, it is the perfect "one-axe quiver" for a wide range of adventures. Available with either a classic adze for efficiently chopping steps and clearing placements, or a hammer for placing pitons and testing anchors, you can select the configuration that best suits your alpine style.
