Grivel Trigger Std piolet protector

Master Steep Terrain with the Grivel Trigger Std Piolet Protector

Elevate your performance on ice and snow with the Grivel Trigger Std, an essential accessory for any serious mountaineer or ice climber. When you´re facing challenging alpine ascents or vertical ice, maintaining a secure, comfortable grip on your piolet is paramount. The Trigger is a revolutionary, fully adjustable handrest designed to provide exceptional support, reduce fatigue, and give you the confidence to tackle the most demanding terrain. It transforms a standard ice axe into a high-performance tool, allowing for greater precision and endurance with every swing and placement.

The primary benefit of the Grivel Trigger Std lies in its ability to offer a solid, reliable platform for your hand. This significantly enhances stability and control, especially when using techniques that require pulling on the axe shaft. By creating a dedicated rest point, it helps prevent your hand from slipping down the shaft, ensuring consistent power transfer and security. Furthermore, this intelligent design dramatically reduces the fatigue in your hands and forearms. Instead of relying solely on grip strength, you can rest the weight of your body on the Trigger, conserving vital energy for the climb ahead. This ergonomic advantage is a game-changer on long routes where efficiency is key to success.

A Legacy of Innovation and Universal Fit

Building on a legacy of innovation, the Trigger represents a significant evolution in ice tool accessories. Grivel’s invention mounted on the Top Machine in 2000 is now available for tubes of all diameters: in yellow for all tubes up to 20x30mm in diameter and in black for larger sizes. It can be regulated at any point and distributes the weight over the fingers. This means you can easily slide the Trigger up the shaft for low-angle snow plunging or move it down for maximum support on vertical ice, all without needing any tools. This on-the-fly adjustability makes it one of the most versatile piolet accessories on the market, adapting instantly to changing conditions and climbing styles.
