Karpos Pluvia jacket

KARPOS Pluvia Jacket

Embrace the elements and push your limits with the KARPOS Pluvia Jacket, the definitive ultra-lightweight, packable shell designed for high-intensity mountain activities. When the weather is unpredictable and every gram counts, the Pluvia Jacket is your essential shield, delivering uncompromising protection without slowing you down.

Engineered for the demanding trail runner and fast hiker, this jacket represents the pinnacle of minimalist design and maximum performance. Its primary purpose is to keep you completely dry when a sudden downpour hits, and to protect you from chilling winds on exposed ridges, all while taking up minimal space in your running vest or backpack. The construction focuses on providing an impenetrable barrier against wind and rain, ensuring your core temperature remains stable so you can focus on the path ahead. The moment the rain stops, it packs down into its own internal pocket, ready for the next squall.

The true genius of the Pluvia jacket lies in its incredible balance of protection and comfort. While its waterproof and windproof capabilities are absolute, its remarkable breathability is what sets it apart. During strenuous climbs and fast-paced descents, it actively works to transfer moisture vapor away from your body, preventing the build-up of sweat and the uncomfortable, clammy feeling common with lesser shells. This superior moisture management keeps you drier from the inside, which is critical for comfort and performance over long distances. Furthermore, the integrated stretch properties of the fabric allow for complete and unrestricted freedom of movement. Whether you´re reaching for a handhold, poling up a steep incline, or simply running with a natural stride, the Pluvia Jacket moves with you, never against you.

Every feature is meticulously designed with the athlete in mind. The shaped hood is tailored to fit snugly over your head, with a rigid visor to keep rain out of your eyes and elastic trim for a secure fit that won´t compromise your peripheral vision. All seams are fully taped to guarantee a complete seal against water ingress, leaving no weak points. The front closure features a minimalist waterproof zipper for quick and reliable operation, while a waterproof chest pocket provides secure storage for essential items like a key or energy gel. The jacket is finished with a drawcord at the bottom and elastic trim at the cuffs to seal out drafts and provide a customized, athletic fit.
