Mammut Skintrack Softshell pants

MAMMUT Skintrack Softshell Pants Men - Long

Master the ascent and conquer the descent with the MAMMUT Skintrack Softshell Pants for men, meticulously engineered for the ambitious ski tourer. Designed for high-performance in alpine environments, these long-length pants offer an unparalleled combination of protection, breathability, and freedom of movement, ensuring you stay focused on the journey ahead, from the first kick-turn to the final powder slash.

Experience superior comfort in shifting mountain conditions. The Skintrack pants are crafted from a highly functional softshell material that acts as a reliable shield against wind and light precipitation. A durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment, thoughtfully made without PFCs, causes water and snow to bead up and roll off the surface, keeping you dry during unexpected flurries or when breaking trail through deep snow. This robust weather protection allows you to push forward with confidence, knowing you are well-equipped to handle the elements.

The true challenge of ski touring lies in managing body temperature during strenuous climbs. The Skintrack pants excel in this critical area, offering exceptional breathability that allows moisture and excess heat to escape efficiently. For moments of maximum exertion, easily accessible side ventilation zippers provide instant, on-the-go climate control. Simply unzip to allow a cooling airflow, preventing overheating on the uphill and ensuring you arrive at the summit dry and ready for the descent.

Engineered with an Athletic Fit, these pants are designed to move with you, not against you. The inherent stretch of the fabric provides complete, unrestricted mobility for every stride, high-step, and technical maneuver. The waistband is easily adjustable from the outside for a quick, perfect fit without pressure points, while two zippered front pockets provide secure storage for small essentials. An additional leg pocket is perfectly placed for easy access to a map or beacon.

Built for the rigors of the backcountry, the Skintrack pants feature robust reinforcement material on the lower legs, providing critical protection against sharp ski edges and crampon points. The leg hems are adjustable with a gusset and zipper, allowing for a precise and secure fit over your ski touring boots. This thoughtful design detail prevents snow from entering your boots and ensures a seamless interface with your equipment.
