The Taiss Pro Hooded Jacket is the “big sister” of the Taiss Hardshell. Our rugged, full-featured hardshell jacket rises to any challenge in the mountains – whether climbing hard vertical ice pitches or descending long, steep couloirs. The stretch outer material is made of high-quality nylon, making it incredibly rugged. Together with a sleek cut, the jacket also ensures excellent freedom of movement. No skimping on features. It has two-way underarm ventilation zippers, internal pockets as well as spacious outer pockets placed higher up to accommodate your climbing harness. Snow sports features, such as the removable snow skirt, a small pocket for your lift pass and a helmet-compatible hood make this jacket a true all-rounder for the most seasoned mountain enthusiast. An extremely rugged, full-featured and versatile hardshell with unmatched functionality for all kinds of technical mountaineering.

- Zippered inner pocket
- Internal pocket made from elastic mesh material

Water impermeability:
- Not all products provide the same level of waterproofing. The higher the water column of your product, the denser the material and the longer it will withstand rain. Depending on your activity, you should check this factor along with breathability.

Breathability:
- Especially for fast-paced activities, you need breathable clothing that regulates your body temperature, wicks away sweat, allows air to pass through, and so keeps you comfortable.

Durability:
- For your garment to last you a long time despite plenty of abrasion or rock contact, it has to be hard-wearing. Do you weigh every gram and define absolute freedom of movement as the most important characteristic? Then less abrasion-resistant, lighter clothing can be an advantage.

Windproofing:
- Windproof clothing keeps you from getting cold on breezy peaks or blustery trails and minimizes the wind chill effect, which is your body´s heat loss accelerated by wind. Pay special attention to this factor when your pace is high and conditions are cool and windy.

Packability:
- On multi-day adventures or other activities with a lot of equipment, space in the backpack is at a premium. Similarly, for those aiming to travel fast and light, packability is essential. This factor may be less relevant if protection and durability are the top priorities.

Lightweight:
- We design every product with performance in mind. That´s why weight, in combination with functionality, always plays a major role. The lighter the style, the freer and more agile you can move. The more durable and dense it is, the more protection it offers.
