Excelent hiking shoes

2025/06/13

Cristian Marc

Comfortable for wide feet, and well suited for rocky terrain and for hiking with a heavier backpack in multi day hikes. For these types of hikes they are better than the Moab Speed for example because the sole is stiffer and it offers more support.

Excellent fit and comfort, I would definitely buy them again! I ordered a size 43.5 because of my wide feet, and it was a great choice. They're quite good for rocky terrain and also for city wear, and they don't look too out of place, making it clear they're hiking boots.

Simply perfect for my mountain getaways! With the Merrell Moab 3 Gore-Tex, I've rediscovered the joy of hiking in nature. The comfort is exceptional, and the secure feel provided by the Vibram sole is unbeatable, even on challenging terrain. Plus, thanks to the Gore-Tex, I no longer have to worry about the weather or puddles. My feet stay dry and comfortable all day long. A perfect purchase.

Automatic translation View in original language

Bought for a medium-difficulty summer trek, they're lightweight, comfortable, and soft despite being Gore-Tex. My usual size is 42 (sneakers, for example). I bought a 43 because this model fits true to size, and for trekking, it's best to size up to have just under 1 cm at the toe for downhill runs. Bought on sale, excellent value.

Good shoe, very small in size

Automatic translation View in original language

Really good shoe. Nicely processed. Good fit, although on the slightly narrow side, but no annoying seams etc. The only negative is that they are very small in size. Usually uses a 44-45 in the EU standard size. Bought a 46, it's fine with a thin tracking sock, but forget an extra sock, there's no room for it, so you have to go up to a 47.

The usual moab

2023/08/14

nilo

Automatic translation View in original language

If you have already used some moab you already know what there is, and that is why you repeat. If you don't know them, they are lightweight mountain shoes, with Goretex (you can put your foot in a bucket of water) and with a vibrating sole (dry they have good traction, in the wet I haven't tried them yet, but other previous ones complied very reasonably) very comfortable. But how comfortable. To put a hit on it, which costs, the bellows of the tongue could be somewhat higher. And it has never happened to me, but since the "eyelets" are made of fabric, not metal, if you pull the laces with a lot of travel when tying your shoes, I suppose that in the long run you could cut the "eyelet", but never to me it happened to me. And if those are the biggest drawbacks that can be put... Anyway, I've already had several moab in a row. They are comfortable, wearable "in civil life", in the mountains they meet up to where you need real boots, the sole is good and your feet don't get wet or cook. perfect...

Shoes with an excellent quality-price ratio, stiff enough for use even for demanding excursions but not too much where more technical shoes are needed. The choice of sizes is an advantage that cannot be renounced.

Excellent comfortable shoes with good grips and tough soles. I ordered them on 20th February and the delivery was delayed until 31st March. This coincided with a holiday so I was unable to collect them till a week later. The delivery was by Royal Mail signed for so I had to get it redirected to a post office. Whilst I was on holiday I received an email saying if the package wasn’t collected in 2 days it would be returned to sender! Fortunately I got back in time.
