A lot of grip and comfortable for wide feet, and well suited for rocky terrain and for hiking with a heavier backpack in multi day hikes. For these types of hikes they are better suited than the Moab Speed for example because the sole is stiffer and it offers more support.

Hello, I’m contacting you because of the order number 52954019 (MERRELL Moab 3 Goretex hiking shoes Bungee Cord EU 37 1/2). The package wasn’t delivered in the pickup point and was returned. It was foreseen that the order would be available for pickup on Monday 28th, and I received an email on monday saying that the package was ready to pickup, and was weird because the delivery point closes on Mondays. I went there on Tuesday and the package wasn’t there, after that I wasn’t availble because I went abroad (reason because I ordered the ahoes) but I sent a friend there in following days to see if the shoes had already arrived and they never were delivered in the pickup point, and now I saw in seur that they were returned. In brief I’m frustrated with the situation, and with the lack of professionalism of the delivery company. Right now I’m on my trip my feet hurt and I’m without the shoes and with a problem to solve. So I kindly ask you to solve the issue with the delivery company and to refund the order that I didn’t received. Best regards, Pedro Gonçalves

I’ve gone through 2 other pairs of Merrell Moab GTX shoes & this pair will no doubt give rock solid reliability as is always the case with these shoes. They have kept my feet dry in days of constant rain on long hikes in the mountains & I’ve put the same shoes through many kilometres during a week of walking the Camino De Santiago. The first time I buy them, I used them to do the Camino de Santiago (150km) in July almost without having tried them before and I was afraid that the Goretex would make me sweat too much. With temperatures of up to 33º and without any discomfort. Wide last that respects the anatomy of the foot. I have used a number more than usual and it has not damaged me at any time. The vibram sole has a spectacular grip. Totally recommended.

After reading some reviews about these Moab 3 GTX, I decided to buy them so that I wouldn´t always have to wear my mountain boots when hiking in warm weather. I haven´t regretted it for a moment because they are very comfortable, provide very good support and are extremely pleasant. I have a fairly narrow foot but they are not really too wide; you can easily tighten them a bit more without really getting a pinching feeling on your foot. I would definitely buy them again!
