Montane Krypton softshell jacket

MONTANE Krypton Women´s Thermal Softshell Jacket

Product Description

Conquer cool, changeable conditions on the mountain with the MONTANE Krypton Women´s Softshell Jacket. Engineered for active use, this thermal jacket is the perfect companion for mountain walking, scrambling, and fast-paced hiking where core warmth, breathability, and freedom of movement are paramount. The Krypton delivers exceptional thermal regulation and comfort, allowing you to push your limits without being weighed down. Its intelligent design focuses on providing warmth where you need it most while ensuring moisture can escape during high-exertion periods, keeping you comfortable from the trailhead to the summit.

The outstanding performance of the Krypton Jacket is centered around its unique construction. It is constructed using GRANITE High-Loft in the core body and over the arms, a highly breathable and stretchy softshell fabric. The magic lies in its high loft brushed interior, which creates a network of air pockets that trap heat with incredible efficiency, providing substantial warmth without bulk. This innovative fabric also actively manages moisture, wicking perspiration away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable during faster-paced activity. For enhanced mobility and climate control, GRANITE Loft fabric is strategically placed under the arms, promoting superior stretch and airflow in this high-heat zone.

Built for the unpredictable nature of the mountains, the Krypton offers reliable protection against the elements. The dense softshell fabric provides excellent windproof performance, shielding you from chilling gusts on exposed ridgelines. Furthermore, a durable water repellent (DWR) finish helps to shed light rain and snow, keeping you dry during brief showers and giving you ample time to adapt to changing weather. This combination of thermal efficiency and weather resistance makes the Krypton an incredibly versatile layer.

Functionality and fit are at the forefront of the Krypton´s design. Storage is thoughtfully arranged with two mesh-lined hand pockets with secure YKK zips, which are ideal for warming hands or stashing essentials. A concealed zipped chest pocket provides a safe place for a phone or GPS device. The close-fitting collar seals in warmth and layers smoothly under an outer shell, while the low-profile cuffs are designed to fit comfortably with or without gloves. For a fully customised and secure fit, the adjustable hem features a cinchable drawcord, allowing you to lock out drafts and seal in warmth when the temperature drops.
