We bought this backpack for a 10 year old. It is light and not very large in size, although it is sufficient for your daily activities. The DayLite 10L, from the same brand, is too small for this age. The shape of the zipper helps to make it easy to open. It has two side pockets for two bottles and a central one in case you have to keep something handy. The material it is made of seems sturdy. The built-in whistle is very popular with children. Recommendable.
