Product description of Osprey Aether AG 60L Backpack

Description summary

Having once graced the cover of the legendary Time Magazine, Aether AG now takes a big step forward to make your journey even more rewarding.

Aether AG is designed for multi-day backpacking and carrying significant loads.

The backsystem combines the comfort and ventilation of Osprey´s multi-award- Winning AG AntiGravity backsystem with the custom-mouldable fit of Osprey´s next generation IsoForm hipbelt.

A sprung mesh lumbar area, combined with stiff load bars integrated into the harness allows for impressive load transfer through the large muscle groups in the legs, enabling an even and comfortable backpacking experience.

Organisation and accessibility are key during long adventures.

The lid not only has multiple pockets but is also removable, offering great versatility.

The top of the pack remains protected without the lid thanks to the deployable FlapJacket top cover.

An integrated rain cover, Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment, InsideOut compression straps and multiple attachment points allow you to carry your gear any way you like.

Finally a backpack that molds itself to your hips and back. Pros: Hip belt is great, hip bags remain easily accessible, top compartment is huge! Con´s: bag squeaks / creaks a little while moving, due to the ventilation back, the bag is a little further from your back and therefore also curved on the inside (pay more attention when packing).

Comfortable and light

I have not used it in any trecking yet, only on a 10-day more backpacking trip. At the moment, very satisfied. The only thing I miss, although I already knew it, is that the main compartment can be opened from top to bottom.

Not an ultralight, but a very durable high quality backpack. In Europe it comes with a rain cover. I would recommend this product.

It was as expected!

Very well thought-up making, use was the best! Pocket, kind of code is also good!

Chris Nelson

Can you 100% confirm that the top lid converts into a day pack? Osprey has advised that the European version does not have this feature

Answer of TradeInn Expert

We sorry, this backpack does not converts into a day pack. You only can remove the top cover and use it as a handbag. Regards.
