PETZL Bongo Hammer

Master the art of traditional climbing and big wall adventures with the PETZL Bongo Hammer, an essential piece of equipment for the serious mountaineer. Designed with precision and durability in mind, this tool is expertly engineered for trad climbing, aid climbing or for equipping new routes. It stands as a testament to PETZL´s commitment to providing reliable and high-performance gear for the most demanding vertical environments. Whether you are tapping in pitons, testing placements, or setting bolts, the Bongo Hammer is your trusted companion on the rock face.

The Bongo is more than just a striking tool; it is a masterfully designed instrument built for efficiency and comfort. One of its most significant benefits is the ergonomic rubber grip, which is engineered to absorb and reduce vibrations upon impact. This thoughtful feature significantly minimizes hand fatigue during intensive, repetitive tasks, allowing you to stay focused and maintain a secure grip during long days of nailing or route development. The balanced feel and thoughtful ergonomics make it one of the most comfortable and effective hammers available.

Efficiency in cleaning and placing gear is paramount, and the Bongo Hammer excels in this area. The head is intelligently curved to provide optimal leverage, facilitating easier and more efficient piton removal. This unique shape allows you to get behind the piton eye or under a stubborn nut with greater ease, saving you valuable time and energy while cleaning a pitch. Furthermore, a dedicated hole in the head is designed for attaching a piton removal device, expanding its utility and allowing for a variety of extraction techniques to handle even the most stubborn placements.

Security is a non-negotiable aspect of climbing, and losing a critical tool mid-route is not an option. The PETZL Bongo Hammer addresses this with a practical hole integrated into the bottom of the shaft. This allows for the secure attachment of a keeper cord or leash, ensuring your hammer remains safely tethered to your harness at all times, providing peace of mind when you´re high off the deck. This simple yet crucial feature underscores the tool´s design for real-world climbing scenarios.
