These medium weight belay/rappel gloves offer extra protection without sacrificing dexterity. Double-layer leather and padding protect the palm from heat generated during long rappels or lowers. Fingertips and other high-wear areas are reinforced for increased durability.

The back is made of leather with abrasion-resistant stretch nylon at key flex areas. The low profile neoprene cuff with Velcro closure features a reinforced carabiner hole for attaching the gloves to your harness.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these gloves. Copper is supple and soft. Very well treated. They are ergonomic and comfortable. The reinforcements are really done in the right places for rappelling. That is: palm, fingertips, and especially the space between the thumb and forefinger. This last area rises high to the top of the index finger and thumb. So it looks nickel. Attention I find that it size small on the other hand. After measurements I took M, but you have to be able to compare, I don't know if L would have been more comfortable.

Hi there, are these gloves the same as the ones i mention here? PETZL Cordex Plus Gloves for Adults, Unisex, K53 ST, light brown, S. I have bought medium and small in black one is way too big and the other way too small. i have the tan ones from petzl in small and they fit perfectly. has there been a redesign?

They're a well-made glove and should last a long time. They definitely come up a bit big and loosen after wearing a few times. I'm usually between large and XL and the large in these is too big, especially when they need to be a close fit to do ropework.
