Product description of Petzl Sling

Description summary

The PETZL EXPRESS quickdraw sling is your reliable partner for sport climbing. Designed for working routes, its ergonomic shape ensures easy handling and a secure grip, letting you focus on your climb. The integrated STRING system keeps the rope-end carabiner correctly oriented, preventing cross-loading and protecting the sling from wear, enhancing both safety and durability. Lightweight yet strong (22 kN), this 11cm sling is an essential component for building dependable quickdraws

PETZL EXPRESS Quickdraw Sling: Unmatched Reliability for Sport Climbing

Elevate your sport climbing performance with the PETZL EXPRESS quickdraw sling, meticulously engineered for climbers who push their limits. When you´re dialing in the beta on a challenging project, you need gear that is not only reliable but also intuitive to handle. The EXPRESS quickdraw sling is perfect for working a route, providing the confidence and ease of use you need when projecting at your maximum. Its robust design and climber-centric features make it an essential component for building your ideal quickdraws, ensuring you can focus on the movement, not your gear.

When you´re high on the wall, pumped, and focused on the next move, the last thing you need is to struggle with your equipment. The PETZL EXPRESS sling addresses this with a superior ergonomic shape that makes it easier to grab. This thoughtful design allows you to quickly and securely hold the quickdraw, whether you´re pulling up to the next bolt or taking a moment to rest. This enhanced handling translates to greater efficiency and less wasted energy, allowing you to concentrate fully on the climb ahead. It’s a small detail that makes a significant difference in your performance and confidence on the rock.

At the heart of the EXPRESS sling´s design is the integrated STRING system. The rope end of the quickdraw is equipped with a STRING to maintain the proper orientation of the carabiner and help protect the carabiner attachment loop from wear. This innovative feature serves two critical purposes. Firstly, it ensures the rope-end carabiner is perfectly positioned for a quick and seamless clip every time, preventing dangerous cross-loading and minimizing fumbling. Secondly, it acts as a durable shield against abrasion from rope movement and repeated falls, significantly extending the lifespan of your sling and preserving its integrity for countless climbs. This dual-function system enhances both safety and durability, making the EXPRESS a smart, long-term investment for any serious climber.

Despite its lightweight profile, the EXPRESS sling offers uncompromising strength and security. It delivers the performance, durability, and user-friendly design needed to tackle your most ambitious projects.

Available in multiple lengths, they are a great upgrade for creating longer draws to reduce rope drag. The integrated rubber STRING stopper is a key feature, effectively preventing carabiner rotation. They are the best quickdraws that I have found, they come very well manufactured, with their guard and lower attachment for the rope carabiner, they are long (25cm) and easy to hold when you are on the road and you no longer get to carabiner. Cheaper than Singing Rock and better made

Nathan

In the picture the old model of the EXPRESS is shown with a gray polyester sling and clear rubber STRING stopper, but most retailers are selling the new model with a black polyester sling and black rubber stopper. I actually only want to buy the old grey slings, so before I order I would like to know which model I will be sent. Thank you in advance!

Answer of Jose Tomas

It comes with black rubber. Greetings.
