I have been going to the mountains for more than 10 years, in the last 6 I have gradually started to tackle it even in snowy environments. For me, the time has come to take the next step, buying footwear that allows me to enjoy even more demanding outings, with my feet in the snow or on ice for many hours, obtaining the maximum possible comfort. Let me start by saying that I live in the central Apennines, so I have no experience of snow and ice in northern Italy. My first season with this new shoe ended with about 15 outings, the first few were tiring, due to my foot not being used to the rigidity of the boot, but as soon as I started wearing them at home to get used to them they became slippers, like the summer ones . On my last outing this year I kept them on my feet for about 7 hours, completely immersed in the snow. Zero cold problems. Zero water or humidity inside. I recommend two things: the first is that as soon as you buy them you wear them at home, for several hours and several days, at least for a couple of weeks before using them. Then gradually go out and walk in it, you don't worry about wearing out the sole on the asphalt or anything else, it will help you a lot when you go to the mountains the first few times.The second is to always use the socks you wear when going out, let your feet and body get used to it.

They are definitely professional boots and very good for high mountains, it is easy to put on the crampons. I am a size 10, but I recommend a size 11, because with high mountain socks a size 10 is too small, and going down the foot requires space so they don't hurt. The price is cheap. They are up to other high mountain brands!!

For the last 4 yeas I buy only Salewa, trekking and three and four seasons mountaineering. boots (four pair of boots for the last years for different needs). I have worn salewa before and choose the boots for my next pair. break in period was about a month. took them immediately to the white mountains and they performed superbly. I love the wide toe box. someone with a wide foot does not need a wide width, the toe box is naturally constructed for width. lacing system is spot on. stayed unbelievably warm all day in snow and cold temperatures.

I have had a number of different hiking boots over the years and have always had foot problems where my foot tends to slide / rub and get blisters on the back of my foot. But with these boots walking 10 hours in all fields even in snow and water, my feet were dry, warm and comfortable, no blisters! I love.

This shoe is conditionally suitable for use with crampons! I wouldn´t go on a steep iceberg tour with it, but for combined tours where you walk and climb on snow and hard surfaces, it´s a very good, waterproof shoe that´s lightweight, durable and, for me, with a very good fit. Hi, I wear wide fit, I took the EVO Condor Goretex, I wear the 42.5 and I took the number 43, they are comfortable and containing at the same time, I think that if I had taken my number they would have been comfortable anyway. I did a 40km in 3 days in the Dolomites, the boots were practically never used, no pain, comfortable as if I had been using them for some time. At the moment I am satisfied with having purchased them.

Hi, I have wide feet and they fit me well, they are comfortable, the finish is a 10, with the vibram sole it has very good grip both dry and wet, I can´t say how hot they are because I haven´t tried them cold yet .

Good morning, these are my fourth Salewa Condor EVO Goretex. I always use 2 and use them every day for hunting in the mountains. They are not hot but very good to wear in spring, summer, autumn and early winter. Was on an expedition myself 40 years ago and knows the altitude of 6,000 m quite well. I would not use this shoe there because there are now shoes with integrated gaiters etc. and also with slightly better insulation.
