Salewa Hot G3 Wire snap hook

SALEWA Hot G3 Wire Snap Hook Carabiner – Lightweight & Reliable Climbing Equipment

Discover the perfect balance of performance, durability, and value with the SALEWA Hot G3 Wire Snap Hook, a cornerstone of any climber´s rack. Designed as our classic for quality-conscious novices, this durable biner delivers the best price-performance relationship, making high-quality safety accessible to everyone from beginners to seasoned alpinists. Its robust construction and intelligent design make it an indispensable tool for sport climbing, trad climbing, and mountaineering.

At an exceptionally low weight of just 40 grams, the Hot G3 is a game-changer for climbers looking to minimize the weight of their rack. On long multi-pitch routes or demanding alpine ascents where every gram counts, the lightweight nature of this carabiner reduces fatigue and allows you to carry more gear without being weighed down. Its compact, ergonomic shape feels balanced in the hand and sits neatly on your harness or gear loops.

The advanced wire gate design is a standout feature, providing numerous advantages over traditional solid gates. It effectively prevents freezing and sticking in cold, alpine environments, ensuring reliable performance when you need it most. The wire gate also minimizes the risk of "gate flutter" during a fall and is less likely to open accidentally upon impact with the rock. This design provides a wide gate opening, making clipping ropes and gear smooth and efficient, even when wearing gloves.

Engineered for uncompromising safety, the Hot G3 boasts impressive strength ratings that inspire confidence on the wall. With a major axis strength of 23 kN, it provides a substantial safety margin for any climbing situation. Rigorously tested and certified to meet both EN 12275 and UIAA 121 standards, the world´s most recognized safety certifications for climbing equipment, you can trust the Hot G3 to perform flawlessly.

Crafted from high-strength, hot-forged Alu 7075 T6 aluminum, the Hot G3 is built to withstand the rigors of frequent use, from abrasive ropes to contact with rock and other hardware. Its durable construction ensures a long service life, making it a sound investment for your climbing future.
