The foundation of the Elixir Activ is its commitment to superior, long-lasting comfort. It features a generous and soft cushioning technology in the midsole that absorbs impact with every footfall, reducing fatigue on your joints and allowing you to extend your time on the trail. This dynamic foam compound provides a plush yet responsive feel, giving back energy to make your journey feel more effortless.

Navigate uneven and unpredictable terrain with unwavering stability thanks to an integrated support system. This innovative technology is engineered to provide essential lateral guidance without restricting your natural movement. It works to cradle your foot, ensuring a secure and stable platform that inspires confidence on rocky paths and technical descents, allowing for a more agile and fluid stride.

The unique geometry of the shoe promotes a smooth, gliding transition from heel-strike to toe-off. This rocker-like shape helps propel you forward, creating a rolling motion that makes walking feel more efficient and less strenuous over many miles. Combined with a fit that expertly wraps the midfoot, the Elixir Activ delivers a secure, precise, and customized feel right out of the box.

Don´t let changing weather cut your adventure short. A high-performance waterproof and breathable membrane is integrated into the shoe, creating a reliable barrier against rain, puddles, and mud while allowing internal vapor to escape. Your feet will remain comfortably dry and well-regulated, no matter the conditions. To complete this high-performance package, a durable outsole with deep, aggressive lugs ensures dependable, all-terrain grip. It provides exceptional traction on a wide variety of surfaces, from wet rocks and slick roots to dry, hard-packed dirt and loose gravel, so you can hike with absolute certainty.

I’ve had a few pairs of these now in both the Goretex and ordinary versions. Fore ones are slightly tighter. Good hard wearing and comfortable shoe. I remove the insole and replace with a superfeet one due to arch problems and this is accommodated easily. Need to order a size up from usual shoe size I’ve found even without the insole change

How do the Salomon Elixir Activ shoes compare to the Salomon Quest Rove Gore-tex® boots?

Answer of Generated by AI and verified

Both are excellent choices for hiking, but they have some differences. The Salomon Elixir Activ is a hiking shoe focused on plush cushioning with its FuzeFOAM midsole and an 8 mm drop.
