I had 2 days to put my boots on before a high mountain expedition, and even so I did not suffer pain or chafing even when I walked 11 hours a day for several days in a row. I was looking for a boot that would serve me both for cold, snowy and high mountain conditions as well as for a warmer and less extreme climate, and these boots delivered. Even walking through snow for hours and hours at no time did I have wet feet, and although it is true that they are a bit flexible for high mountains, I was still comfortable. The only thing that the sizes would say go large. I chose my usual size, but I have enough to spare even with a thick thermal sock, so with a normal hiking sock, in summer, the foot will dance. But I needed them immediately and I didn't have time to manage a change. But still a comfortable, robust, warm boot, and 100% waterproof! Very impressed!
