Are these shoes genuinely waterproof? I can see that they are tagged with the feature "Waterproof", but cannot see any further info about this in the detailed description.... would like to be sure to keep my feet dry this coming long dark winter

No. They are not 100% waterproof. They do not have the goretex feature.

Bought those thinking they would be waterproof enough to walk through very wet grass in the park but they are more water resistant than waterproof; my socks were wet by the time I came home. Pity as they are very comfortable and have an excellent grip.
