SILVA Ranger MN Compass | Advanced Mirror Sighting for Hiking & Orientation

Navigate with unwavering confidence and precision using the SILVA Ranger MN, a superior mirror sighting compass designed for serious outdoor enthusiasts. As part of SILV´s renowned Ranger series, which now includes new traditional baseplate and mirror sighting models, the Ranger MN stands as a benchmark in hiking equipment. This advanced orientation tool, along with the other models in the series, is the preferred choice for experienced compass users, including mountaineers, long-distance backpackers, and hunters who demand absolute reliability and accuracy in the field.

The SILVA Ranger MN is engineered to provide flawless performance in the most challenging environments. Its primary advantage is the mirror sighting capability. By using the mirror, you can simultaneously view the compass dial and your background reference point, allowing you to take exceptionally accurate bearings over long distances. The integrated sighting hole further refines this process, ensuring you stay precisely on your intended path. This feature is indispensable for navigating in open terrain or when a distant landmark is your only guide.

Built for real-world adventures, this compass is equipped with features that enhance usability day or night. The luminous markings on the dial absorb light and glow in the dark, enabling crucial night navigation without the need for a headlamp, thus preserving your night vision. Handling is made effortless thanks to the DryFlex™ Rubber grip, which provides a secure and comfortable hold even in wet weather or when wearing gloves. For added security, a detachable safety lanyard keeps this vital piece of hiking equipment close at hand while allowing for quick release if it becomes snagged.

Map work is streamlined with multiple map measuring scales printed directly on the baseplate, including mm, inch, and the most common map scales of 1:25k and 1:50k. This allows for quick and easy distance plotting on any topographical map. The Ranger MN also features a declination adjustment scale integrated inside the capsule, allowing you to easily compensate for the difference between magnetic north and true north anywhere in the world, ensuring your map-to-field navigation is flawless.
