SILVA Ranger S Compass: Precision Navigation for the Serious Adventurer

Navigate with unwavering confidence and precision using the SILVA Ranger S, a cornerstone of the Hiking equipment and Orientation category. The ever so popular SILVA Ranger compass series has gone through a face-lift with updated colors and updated graphics, enhancing an already legendary tool. This upgraded version is engineered for serious compass users who demand reliability, accuracy, and superior functionality in any environment. The Ranger S is not just a directional tool; it´s an essential piece of gear for anyone who ventures off the beaten path, from seasoned hikers and backpackers to rescue professionals and dedicated orienteers.

Experience unparalleled handling and control thanks to the innovative DryFlex™ Rubber grip. This tactile feature ensures the compass remains secure in your hand, whether you´re battling rain, wearing gloves, or needing to make a quick adjustment on the move. The enhanced grip prevents slips and fumbles, allowing you to focus completely on your bearing. The new graphics are more distinct and significantly easier to read, ensuring you can gather information at a glance, reducing time and potential errors during critical navigation tasks.

The Ranger S excels in accurate, long-distance measurements with its advanced mirror sighting system. By using the mirror, you can simultaneously sight a distant landmark and check your compass capsule, ensuring you lock onto the most precise bearing possible. This model introduces the highly practical benefit of 45-degree angle assistance on the mirror sighting function, simplifying measurements and adding another layer of utility. For map work, the Ranger S is a master of versatility. The baseplate features map-measuring scales in mm, alongside the most common trekking scales of 1:50.000 and 1:25.000, allowing for effortless and exact plotting of routes and measurement of distances directly on any topographic map.

Adaptability is key to global exploration, and the SILVA Ranger S is built to perform anywhere. It includes a use-anywhere declination scale directly inside the capsule, enabling you to make swift and simple adjustments for magnetic declination, a crucial step for true-to-map accuracy no matter where your adventures take you. When daylight fades, your journey doesn´t have to stop. Luminous markings on the dial and needle absorb light and glow in the dark, providing essential visibility for navigation from dusk till dawn. Weighing a mere 58g, it offers powerful performance without adding a burdensome load to your pack. As one of the most respected Compasses on the market, the Ranger S is a go-anywhere tool that builds on a legacy of trust and performance.
