I tried it under heavy rain and lots of wind and it was perfect, windproof, rainproof and breathable. This new model comes with a detachable hood. I like the fact the throat is protected too. I was surprised Trekkin recommended me the Large size based on my dimensions but happy I followed them. The hood is great as it is lond/deep enough to avoid rain in the face, and adjustable, I like velcros on the wrists too. Very light, and with just a fleece underneath I was fine in the winter. With an Water column: >10.000 , I know I could stand under heavy rain for days with no problem.
