- Tres-tex: If you imagine a single column of water, held back by a piece of our Tres-Tex fabric, you can start to understand how our waterproof fabric works. The waterproof reading on your jacket or trousers, is the height in millimetres that this column of water would reach, before starting to seep through and compromise the fabric. For example, 5000mm is infact 5 meters of water held back by the fabric.

Good jacket, I was impressed by the resistance to water column and breathability of the membrane. It has velcro to adjust the hood brim, vital for mountain use in my opinion. Good sealing of the seams and a useful inner pocket. Let's see what my daughter thinks when she's using it.

The jacket is as in the photo, foldable, comfortable and well finished. Unlike the description, it is NOT a women's jacket, but a UNISEX jacket, so the sizes do not correspond to the women's table. I took an M, but an S would have gone well. I haven't had the chance to try it outdoors or in the rain yet, so I can't say if and how waterproof it is.
