I´m interested in the twonav Cross Plus GPS for use in Germany. Since your location is abroad, I´m unsure whether the correct map data is stored on the device.

Satellite positioning systems - GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou - are global. The Twonav Cross + GPS device therefore works in all regions of the world; simply download the maps of the desired territory (paid or free) to have precise cartographic tracking (by selecting the same coordinate system on the device as that used for the map). There are therefore no limitations for the use of Twonav Cross + in Germany.

With the GPS Cross Plus, Twonav provides the following maps: 5 French Topo tiles 1:25,000; France Topo 1:100,000; France Topo 1:1,000,000; OSM (Open Street Map) World; 3D relief Western Europe. The 5 IGN Topo tiles (1:25000 maps for hiking identical to the SCAN 25 collection) can be selected and downloaded from the Twonav site (contiguous tiles or not). A slab corresponds to a square of approximately 10 km on each side on the ground (or approximately 100 km2).
