Brown lion Feather.

For five hundred years, in a small Spanish region, it is produced what may be the best material in the world for the assembly of artificial flies: Coq de Leon.

Until the present, it is known for sure that the key to the quality of the Coq de Leon is based on the selection of the best specimens for generations and the transmission from parents to children of all accumulated knowledge.

Nowadays, the Coq de Leon is known and claimed all over the world.

Their Pardo and Indian feathers emit a kind of perfume, a fragrance that will delight any fisherman who contemplates them.

Unmatched Lifelike Quality

The true magic of the BAETIS Coq de Leon Pardo feather lies in its unique physical properties. The fibers possess an extraordinary glassy sheen and a signature speckled pattern that perfectly imitates the subtle, mottled appearance of natural aquatic insects. When used for tails on dry flies or as legs and tails on nymphs, this material provides a level of realism that synthetic alternatives simply cannot replicate. The feather’s inherent stiffness and resilience ensure your fly maintains a perfect silhouette in the water, creating lifelike movements with the slightest current.

Versatility and Precision in Every Fiber

Experience the versatility that has made Coq de Leon a staple on the benches of master fly tyers worldwide. These feathers are ideal for a vast range of applications, from delicate mayfly tails to robust nymph legs and vibrant wet fly collars. The distinct, long barbs can be tied in with incredible precision, allowing for immaculate segmentation and definition in your creations. Each fiber is as precise as a line drawn by the finest of Fountain Pens, adding unparalleled detail and crispness that triggers aggressive strikes from wary trout and other species. Tying with BAETIS Pardo feathers means infusing your flies with a time-tested effectiveness that has been proven for centuries.
