Baetis Off-Bead Tungsten Extra Heads

Revolutionize Your Fly Box with BAETIS Off-Bead Tungsten Extra Heads

Elevate your fly tying and on-the-water performance with the innovative BAETIS Off-Bead Tungsten Extra Heads. Designed for the discerning angler and precision tyer, these heads are a game-changer for creating highly effective nymph and streamer patterns. If you are serious about getting your flies into the strike zone faster and achieving a more natural, enticing presentation, these specialized heads are an essential addition to your tying bench.

The unique off-bead, tear-drop shape shifts the center of gravity, ensuring your flies ride with the hook point up. This "jig" orientation is critical for reducing snags on the bottom, allowing you to confidently fish in complex structures where trout and grayling love to hold. Furthermore, this design imparts a tantalizing jigging action on the retrieve or during a dead drift, triggering aggressive strikes from even the wariest of fish.

Unmatched Performance and Versatility

What truly sets the BAETIS Off-Bead Tungsten Extra Heads apart is their superior density and intelligent design. These special tungsten heads are engineered to be 10-15% heavier than standard, round tungsten beads of the same diameter. This significant weight advantage means your flies will plummet through the water column, reaching the desired depth with incredible speed and efficiency—a crucial factor in fast currents or when Euro nymphing.

The genius of these heads lies in their dual-slot system. This is not just another bead; it´s an engineered component. They are purpose-built for perfect alignment on jig-style hooks, providing a secure and stable foundation for your patterns. The design is also versatile enough to convert your favorite standard hooks into effective jig-style flies, instantly changing the hook´s swimming angle and position in the water for better action and fewer hang-ups. One of the slots is ingeniously crafted to simplify mounting on barbless hooks, allowing the head to slide effortlessly over the bend for a frustration-free tying experience.

Whether you´re tying Perdigon nymphs, jig-head streamers, or any pattern that demands a fast sink rate and a perfect drift, the BAETIS Off-Bead Tungsten Extra Heads provide the ultimate foundation.
