Detailed Functionality

The core of the 701-MDEP is its advanced Voltage Sensitive Switch (VSS) capability. This parallel - 701 emergency MDVS (without voltage detection function) comes with an automated function during charging, which allows charging two battery banks as if they were one.

The VSS operates under some predetermined parameters that apply to the source of an active load, such as the motor or other load power. The VSS is able to determine which charging source is operational and implement cuts corresponding input and output. This smart management ensures optimal power distribution and battery health. This parallel emergency can be connected to 12V or 24V systems.

As Emergency Parallel, the VSS can be controlled via a remote switch or button, keeping the parallel function active for 10 minutes. This gives you ample time to start your engine. If after 10 minutes the system voltage has not reached a charging level of 13.0V (for 12V systems) or 26V (for 24V systems), the VSS will automatically deactivate to protect the batteries.

If the voltage reaches 13V/26V in either battery bank, indicating a working alternator or charger, the VSS will remain active, and both batteries will continue to be charged. To manually disable the connection, simply press and hold the remote selector switch for 5 seconds, and the VSS will be disabled.
