Description summary

Introducing the CTEK D250SE Charger: your ultimate on-the-go power solution. This advanced 20A charger features dual inputs for solar and alternator power, optimizing battery charging with MPPT solar technology and smart alternator compatibility. It intelligently prioritizes free solar energy and can expand its output to 140A with the SmartPass 120S. Designed for 12V batteries from 40-300Ah, it offers selectable modes for lead-acid (including AGM/EFB) and LiFePO4 batteries, ensuring maximized performance and extended battery life in all conditions. Its robust, IP65-rated design makes it ideal for permanent installation

The latest from CTEK the D250SE leverages on the good foundation of the D250SA Dual but raises the stakes again by including a Lithium Charge profile to feature alongside its ignition feed and MPPT solar controller. A wider input voltage range on the alternator side for Euro 5+ engine for ECU controlled systems.

MPPT Solar input, alternator input with service battery charging from the solar or engine with a preference on the suns free energy. Not to mention the ability to add the SmartPass 120S or SmartPass 120 for an additional 120A charging output.

I'm considering a compatible charger and a solar charger as I will replace the lead battery with a lithium phosphate battery in the camper. Looking at the exhibition at Makuhari Messe, I found a D250SE compatible with lithium on this site and ordered it. It took time to arrive, but I installed it and it is operating without problems.
