ILBA Tondo 2 Spoon 5g | The Legendary French Spinner Lure

Discover the ILBA Tondo 2, the quintessential 5g fishing spinner with its iconic spots, representing a true legend in the world of angling. As the classic French-type blade spinner, the Tondo is the most used and appreciated lure by generations of spinning anglers. It is more than just tackle; it´s a piece of fishing history that continues to deliver exceptional results on the water, proving that classic designs remain unbeatable.

A timeless classic with the traditional spotted livery on a metal base, the Tondo´s design creates a powerful visual stimulus that triggers aggressive, predatory strikes. Its effectiveness lies in its flawless engineering. The perfectly balanced French-style blade begins to spin instantly upon hitting the water, producing a wide, enticing rotation and a unique hydrodynamic vibration that fish find impossible to ignore. This immediate action makes it incredibly effective even with a slow retrieve, allowing you to thoroughly work through promising spots and entice wary or lethargic fish. The consistent, throbbing pulse it sends through the water calls in predators from a distance, making it a superb search bait in rivers, streams, and lakes.

Weighing an optimal 5 grams, the Tondo 2 is a master of versatility. It falls squarely within the popular ´1-10 gr´ class, making it ideal for light to medium spinning setups. This weight provides excellent casting distance and accuracy, allowing you to reach tight spots under overhanging branches or across currents with precision. It´s the perfect choice for targeting a vast range of species, including discerning trout in clear streams, aggressive perch holding near structures, and opportunistic chub in flowing rivers.

Rigged with premium, ultra-sharp VMC hooks, you can fish with absolute confidence. The ILBA Tondo 2 offers you the choice to perfectly match your fishing style and local regulations, as it is available rigged with a VMC single hook or a triple treble hook, in both standard and barbless options. This commitment to quality ensures a superior hook-up ratio and the strength to handle spirited fights, minimising the chance of losing a prized catch.

While this 5g model is a superstar performer, the legendary Tondo family is available in 10 sizes from 2 to 29 grams and 11 stunning colour combinations. This extensive range ensures there is a perfect Tondo for every scenario and fishing condition you might encounter, from ultra-light finesse fishing to targeting larger predators in deeper water.
