JRC Cocoon Recovery retainer sling

JRC Cocoon Recovery Retainer Sling | Ultimate Fish Care & Safety

Prioritise the well-being of your prized catch with the JRC Cocoon Recovery Retainer Sling, an essential piece of fishing equipment for the conscientious angler. Engineered with fish safety as the paramount concern, this sling provides a secure and stress-free environment for carp and other large species. It is the perfect solution for responsible fish handling on the bank, offering peace of mind and ensuring every capture is returned in prime condition.

This floating recovery sling is designed for retaining the fish for a few minutes while prepping the camera equipment and allowing the fish time to recover before release. The design philosophy of the JRC Cocoon is centered around creating a safe haven. After a strenuous fight, a fish needs time to recuperate, and this retainer offers the ideal sanctuary. Its superior buoyancy keeps the fish comfortably at the surface, ensuring it remains upright and has consistent access to oxygen-rich water, which is critical for a swift recovery.

The generous and roomy interior of the sling prevents the fish from feeling cramped, minimising stress and protecting its delicate fins, scales, and protective slime coat. In tandem with the spacious design, the sling incorporates large, soft-touch mesh vents. The large side vents enable fresh water to flow through the sling freely. This constant circulation of fresh, oxygenated water is vital for the fish´s health, flushing away metabolic waste and aiding its recuperation process before you capture that memorable photograph.

Practicality for the angler has not been overlooked. For those long sessions that stretch into the night, the JRC Cocoon Recovery Sling features highly reflective corners. A quick scan with your headtorch will instantly reveal its location in the water, eliminating any guesswork or difficulty during low-light conditions. The robust construction and thoughtful design reflect JRC´s commitment to creating durable and reliable gear that stands up to the demands of modern carp angling.
